I know this is off topic, but I'm posting here just in case:

Last night I got an Nimda infected email sent through moderators emailadress from drew72286@aol.com.
If you either have not checked your email yet, or not viewed the emails - don't view this email, you need to delete it. This can easiest be done, by marking the email before and after and completely deleting these.
Acording to my knowlegde this virus is scripted with some coding that will run it it you just view at the email, it is not neasecary to view the attachment, so be careful.

If you have recived and viewed the email or the file get some Nimda-removing utility and run it through your system.

Thanks Xandax. I just viewed this sucker today through hotmail and was suspicious so I deleted it without opening the attachments.

I got it, too. Since I don't know the person, and the email itself was blank with the attachment, I simply deleted it.

You properly need to check for Nimda, AFAIK you could get infected simply by previewing the email (not only the attachment)

just a tip. Since the advent of all these nasty net bugs, I have been going directly to my server's website in order to grab my email. If I see something suspicious, I instantly delete it, so that way it won't download onto outlook.

I'll repost what I posted elsewhere: if I receive an unsolicited attachment from someone I know, I write to ask if they intentionally sent it. If they don't reply, reply negatively, or the attachment is from someone I don't know, the email gets deleted.

fable, relpying to a spammers email usually just triggers an automated system to flag your email account as active, and will make your email address more popular to sell.

@PI, I didn't say I responded to spammers. Our subject is attached viruses, and I referred to posts coming from people I know, potentially containing viruses.
