Mad guards, mad orcs, mad, mad Sanguine. (spoilers)

Post by Damuna_Nova »

Oke, I did Sanguine's quest and afterwards the guards went beserk and started attacking Mazoga the orc.

Since I can't do the Mazoga quest now, could someone please tell me what happens?

Thanks.

You escort Mazoga to Fisherman's Rock, where she has to talk to someone. This conversation ends up in a fight. After the fight she tells you that the guy that got killed has killed a friend of Mazoga and this was out of revenge. Then you move back to the castle where the count asks you to kill Black Brugo and bring his black bow, and he gives you a bit cash (50 or 500 gold, don't recall) for every black bow you bring to the count.
Also, you and Mazoga become "knight-errands of somethingwhatsoever" and get acces to a shack somewhere out of town.

Not a shack in town. A shack a short ways out of town. Looks kind of like a hunting lodge.

Mazoga Spoiler

There are two parts to the quest. First part is to figure out why she's lurking about the castle. You get the quest from the councilor/advisor guy. Talk to Mazoga and she tells you her story. Escort her to the camp with the huge bonfire and help her kill the bad guys. Go back and now talk to the king (or whatever his title is) and he will offer to make you and Mazoga knights if you take care of the Blackbow Gang that habits the Ayleid ruins outside town. Talk to Mazoga and she'll tell you about this gang as well. Here's how I like to play this out but you can do it anyway you want. I leave Mazoga in the castle and sneak into the ruins during the daytime. There should only be two bandits inside and two outside. Outside is usually an archer and a hedge-mage/conjurer. I like to jump up on the wall above the door and screw with these two guys from there (fun place to conjure things or snipe with arrows/ranged magic attacks. Once these two are dead go inside the ruins and turn into the room on the left. Push the button on the wall to lower the gate that blocks the end of the main hall. Go inside the gate and find the other button. Now its time to have fun. You can sneak into the last room where the two bandits are standing or sleeping. Shoot one with an arrow or lauch a ranged fireball at them or conjure up a zombie/scamp/skeleton and then run back behind the gate and close it. You'll be inside and protected but you can still shoot through the hole in the gate. Anyway play around with this until both are dead and then loot the place. Now leave and return a little before midnight and hide where you can watch until the gang shows up. They will head into the ruins to pick up their share of the loot. Follow at a safe distance and use the gate again to screw with the gang. I was able to get them all to chase me into the room behind the open gate and then run out, pushing the gate closing button as I crossed to the other side of the closing gate and trapped the entire gang inside. They're to dumb to push the button so you can use them for target practice or leave them to rot. Once they're all dead go back to the castle and pick up Mazoga. Escort her to the ruins to complete the quest. Now talk to the king again and he makes you and Mazoga Knights Errant with keys to the lodge north of town. The king will offer to buy Blackbow gang bows from you at 200 gold each. You can still find more gang members in the caverns NW of town or along the roads. You will also occassionally run into Sir Mazoga who you can follow on her bandit hunting outings if you like. She can be found sleeping in the lodge at times but I've also run into her inside the cave or walking the roads N or town.
