Question about feats

Post by philpjfry »

I was wondering does the bonus that the character gets from the feat weapon focus: melee weapon carries over when a lightsaber is used or is just for Vibrosword type of weapon?

I think it should, though I could be wrong. Didn't notice much as I usually max out both the melee weapon feat and the lightsaber mastery feat (I hope I'm right). Anyway, a lightsaber is a melee weapon so most probably that the melee weapon feat do have some effects on it, I think. :)

No. Meele and Lightsabres are two different weapontypes.

So focus meele(viboswords etc) doesn't give bonuses to lightsabre just as sabres don't give bonus to meeles.

D'oh!! All this while I thought that melee weapon feats help in lightsaber attacks. Also thought that lightsabers are considered melee weapons as well. Didn't know that they were separate. :(

Probably has to do with the fact that lightsabers are essentially weightless when compared to other melee weapons, and so in a class of their own. Anyhow, there's your pointless Star Wars trivia for the day.

Pointless? To me, no. To those who are familiar with the Star Wars universe, yes. :p
