What is wrong with my computer?

Post by anthraxboy »

I've searched through all the threads related to crashing and haven't seen anyone with the same problem as I. I purchased this around the time it came out. It installed and I played it. Never beat it, but removed it from my computer and went about playing other games. After having problems with my computer I had to reinstall Windows XP. Recently found V:tM in my pile of games and decided to play it again. It installed fine, but I can't get past the intro movies. As soon as the Troika Games movie finishes, it crashes to the desktop. I'm positive it's not my RAM (same RAM from before Windows reinstall.) The video card is new, it's an ATI Radeon 9550, and it's up-to-date. Any ideas to fix this would be graciously appreciated.

Could be a virtual memory issue. Check this thread, especially last post.
