Suiting armor for Good Mage

I started Fable,the 3rd time today,and I wanted to become a mage,a good one,because,until now I was evil.I wanted to get some mage armor.But the Bright Will User Suit is kinda weak,I'm thinking about combining it with a part of a plate armor..any ideas?

Just use the physical shield spell and make sure you always have plenty of will potions and you don't need to worry about armour as a mage. You can just wear what you like

If you want to role play (wear gear that suits a mage even if it's not the most powerful) wear the Bright Will User's outfit and use Physical Shield. If you want to be good and wear the most powerful, wear the Bright Plate.

But as Mr_Sir said, if you use Physical Shield you don't have to worry about AC since you never get hit with weapons or spells.
