Replacing quest item?

Post by Sylk »

My husband and I just bought this game a couple of days ago and have been playing ... too much...

Anyway, he's picked up the quest to go into Custard Mansion, but somehow between the quest giver and the mansion door, he's managed to lose the key. He didn't sell it, since he went straight from her to the door (with the obligatory thief slaughter along the way).

Is there some way to abandon the quest and get it again? Or to get her to give him another key? We're at a loss and he's not terribly keen on starting over completely at this point.

I don't think it's possible to drop or otherwise lose keys. Are you sure your husband is in the right place? If you somehow lost the key, the only thing you can do is use a saved game editor (like the one in the stickied thread) to add it to your inventory.
