Can anyone think of sections of the game where it 'cheats'. I can think of two in particular:
1. Recently cast 6th level cleric spell against a mage w. Minor Spell Turning. It came back. Huh? - should only reflect up to 4 levels.
2. Starting combat against mages, they always react before I can even press pause to issue instructions to my party. Usually involves getting at least stoneskin and some spell protection off instantly.
3. And of course, the all-time favourite "I'll interupt this fight in which my arse is being kicked for a bit of a chat, before teleporting the frick out of here".
Damn Cheats!
I don't think what you mentioned constitutes cheating. The computer enemies have access to the same stuff as you. Minor spell turning will reflect anything if it has part of its ability left. I.E. 1 level left will still turn a level 6 spell, but no more after that.
Sequencers etc. can fire off spells very quickly.
The teleport crap is annoying but usually furthers the storyline.
But they do cheat. Cheating for me constitutes mages who don't get disrupted by your attacks, for example. Where the rules don't apply to them.

So far it doesn't look like the computer cheats. (Except a little with Bohdi and Irenicus and other plot critical characters leaving battles to fight later.)
Like Gruntboy said, #2 is Contingencies triggered by "Enemy sighted". I'm not sure about the minor spell turning because I'm not sure the limit on spells it can turn...4 levels, but I think maybe up to level 6? Also are you sure it was minor? What spell was turned?
Computer mages will get disrupted just like your mages do. However, if they have stoneskins and you're hitting them but not damaging them, that's not going to disrupt them...it wouldn't disrupt your mages either.
Thieves and assasins usually us potions of invisibility to disappear so they can get multiple backstabs in. Your thieves and assasins can do the same. The Berzerker/Thief I'm soloing the game with does this quite frequently for tough fights. The computer does cheat a little on backstabs though -- it can backstab from the front.

I don't know, but sometimes my own spells arn't disrupted at the firs blow. Maybe after you have been casting it for several rounds it cannot be distrupted.Originally posted by Gruntboy:

Vicsun, I certainly agree with your assertion that you are an unpleasant person. ~Chanak

Well, I don't like it when:
Mages are free to cast in the city, but the minute party members do, the cowled wizards show up.
Enemy caster drops a fireball or some other AoE in a crowded area and the blue circled NPCs turn red and start attacking you (who had nothing to do with it). Then, if you kill that NPC, you take a major rep hit.

the thing that bugs me about computer enemy mages is when i go stealth and come in and the minute i'm in their line of sight..all there contigincies go right off..how can they do that if they can't even see me..and no..they didn't have true sight on..speaking of which..how come computer mages always know when to use true sight?...it's like they know your there because, after all, it is the computer playing against you but they want to make it seem fair so they cast true sight..i think that's bullsh*t
