First off, I love this game. I bought it today and have played it for about three hours. My little chicken chaser is growing up so fast though. *sniffle* I know my computer isn't the best (1.6Ghz P4) and the video card could be better (ATI Radeon 8500DV) but it seems to handle the graphics just fine and the game runs smoothly.
Or at least it did until I got to Barrow Fields after the "lead the traders through the forest alive" quest. For some reason every time I try to leave the field out the new exit, the way I'm supposed to go, it crashes. Every time. I've tried everything I can think of, including disabling the sound card (since I read somewhere that sound cards were causing problems), lowering all the graphics down to min, unchecking a bunch of stuff, etc. Nothing seems to help.
Does this mean I'm screwed and am out of luck? I really hope not. ;-;
Suggestions? Help? Please? Thanks in advance.
Crashes are bad. Bad crashes!
Check your CD for scratches/dirt. If the CD is clean then try reinstalling in case there is an error with one of the installed files (back up your saves first by going into the program folder for Fable and copying the save folder to somewhere like My Documents). If this doesn't work then I'm out of ideas, sorry.

Er.. well, I would do this except that I don't see a save folder. Is it possibly hidden or put somewhere else? I mean, I know how to check and stuff (I'm not -that- bad with a computer, haha) but I'm not seeing a save folder anywhere in any of the folders. 0_o

You have to go to the 'My Documents' folder. Then look for the folder titled, 'My Games' (This game was published under Microsoft, so expect a file that go by that name whenever you install any game published by Microsoft ). You'll be bound to find the save game folder of Fable right there.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
