Dantooine Protocol droid *spoilers*

Post by Darth Mason »

On Dantooine there is a protocol droid wandering around near where the Hawk lands. If you repair him he shows you a conversation where Master Vrook (<editted out: do not circumvent the profanity filter - Xandax>) is talking to about you to a Yoda species. Has any one else noticed this? and if so do we know who he is?

Also is there any way of opening the door in the Sith academy on Korriban using the Thorium charges without destroying the Holocorn?

Yup, we have. He is Master Vandar Tokare who was a present in the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine in Kotor I. And he disagreed with Vrook then, too.

Yes. When you talk to Atton in the force cage on Peragus at the beginning of the game, tell him that Revan was DS. If this is the case, then the holocron will play to explain why it is that the Sith don't now control the Republic given that the Star Forge wasn't destroyed at the end of Kotor I.
LucasArts in interview with GameSpy, September 2004
"We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.

the holocron only plays if revan was ds, if ls it breaks no matter what you try and as far as i know the thorium charges are the only way to open that door.

The Yoda-like-creature is MASTER VANDAR a Master who used to train Force-Sensitives in the Dantooine Enclave, before it was bombed. No one knows where he is now, I personally think he is still alive being who he is and as powerful as he is.

If you played KOTOR I you will learn alot more about this creature and how Yoda-like he is.

(Spoiler) Like so many others, if Revan was DS, he is dead.

@GregTheSleeper, why would he have to be that? This is pulp fiction sci-fi we're talking about here :D

By the way, does anyone happen to know what Vandar's and Yoda's species is called? I've never found it anywhere, and I'm a curious creature

Speaking of Holocrons on Korriban, Kreia tells you about a Holocron made by one of the Sith Lords about another Lightsaber Technique. I have been searching to find this holocron, and am not sure if they even have it in the game. The only place I can think that it may be is in the Telos Academy. If anyone has any info, please do share!

I think that's probably one of the contents cut from the game, just like that part where Col. Tolbin will offer some Siths for you to train.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

George Lucas decided to keep Yoda's specie a secret, so we will probably never find out what it is.

I don't know about that. Lucas is getting up there but he's still got plenty of years left to tell us what race Yoda is.

I'm guessing something very very force sensitive because they seem to know far too much too easily but don't over abuse it. That tells me they are something that always have connection to the force and that becomming a Jedi only tune it but not increase the connection.

Ever wonder why you never see an Evil Yoda?
Bao-Dur: I think he wanted us to give up the Genreal to his poorly trained collection of bounty hunters.

Atton: Ah. well that would explain it. Which one do you want?

Bao-Dur: I'll take the stupid one who decided to threaten us rather than shoot us when he had the chance.

this is a question I`ve been meaning to ask for awhile now.
Is it possible to convince Handmaiden to allow you to see some of the artifacts on Telos?

No, but you do see them when you confront Atris. When Handmaiden tells you that some of the artifacts spoke to her, thinking she was a student, she was referring to the sith holocrons Atris has all around her chamber.

You find the Holocron in KoTOR I but there's no way of finding out what happened to it in Sith Lords. I think it's just a tip of the hat to the first game.
