Something's up with my Pocket Plane (poss spoilers)

Post by Jess »

Taking the second of Solar's tests (the one after you kill Yaga Shura), I walked in to find the room in its calm, forest like atmosphere. After I won the battle, it changed to the lava scene. I know this ought to be the other way round, anyone know why this has happened?

I think that's normal. Was it the other way around for you, some other time? It always works that way for me.

It's supposed to be alignment based as all the challenges are...sometimes that affects the actual challenge itself, other times the room.
It probably identified your main character as evil to change to a lava landscape...it doesn't always seem to be correct though, I'm not exactly sure how the game decides you are good or evil.

I'm neutral alignment right now, didn't make any of the evil choices in the hell trials, and it can't have been anything I've done since - I went back to an old save and cast Farsight, room's still all watery and nice. It's pretty odd, as the previous room went from lava-blue as normal. Could it be alternating as I'm neutral then? It really does seem strange, as the whole point is that you can use the room to heal. I nearly died straight after the battle because I'd been stood with low hit points over some water, which then became lava.
@sparrow - I've always been good before, and the room has gone from lava-ferns.

Maybe it reacts to whether you're Lawful, Neurtal or Chaotic too. It seems to decide when you first enter the Pocket Plane what the starting positions are for the challenges, so your actions in the game wouldn't affect it...

The first test depends on your reputation , the following tests depend on the answers you give the Solar. Unfortunately, it is not always obvious what the Solar would consider as a "good" or an "evil" answer.

Best regards,
Lark.
