Yes. That is rather odd. I have some difficulty at the moment in determining what they mean by political freedom since civil rights are excellent. I am not sure what is included in each category. I assume that will become clearer later

rofl oh you should see mine. I love the description I get, too, in the little "about [country name here]" blurb.

I just started looking at Nation States and it seems kinda fun, does anybody want to start a region? Or, barring that, what region is everybody else in?

This nation game thing seems a little like War Of Conquest...though in more depth. Maybe I'll get involved sometime, though I completely lost interest in WOC after a while.
Thank God Rav, I knew I could count on you. I was feeling very unloved here, the closest I got to a welcome was JI pointing out in the Above Your Post thread that I "had been gone awhile".
Well, I did welcome you back over AIM, didn't I? :p
Anyway, the welcome here was a blatant ploy to evade the payment issue. ;)
Actually that's not bad, I always figured the mods had to pay Buck and the mysterious site owner for the privilege... Hell I'd pay, do you have any idea how many times I've wanted to edit the text in somebody else's post and replace it with a hand-of-God "READ RULE 4 ARTICLE 9 YOU ILLITERATE HACK!"?

The answer is many times, many times...
LOL! If only...

Well here is my nation, The Commonwealth of Breghte.

And starting a GB region might be nice! At the moment I'm not a UN member and didn't move regions yet.

@Tony. So far as I understand it everybody starts in the Pacific. Mind I only joined accidentally while I was trying to find out what it was about, so I could be wrong about that

It said you could create your own region but I haven't the slightest idea how. Maybe if we just fiddle around with it for a bit we'll figure it out.

But since the delegate of the pacific seems to be an ass, and there are to many nations, I wouldn't mind changing regions.

If you go to your regions page, you can choose to change regions into another already created region, or create your own. There used to be a SYM region, but it's gone now I think

Yeah, according to the thing about playing, it says all nations start out in the Pacific.

I got some "telegrams" from people who seemed to be asking me to join their regions. But I haven't done it cos I haven't found out what the pro's and con's are

They probably want your money or whatever equivalent there is in this game...I know that's how it worked in WoC.

I got one such telegram myself. The part that caught my attention was We have tons of government positions open, and when I checked out the region, they had something like 15 countries (funny, considering the telegram said [could've been a lie though] that the region is one of the oldest). Frankly, such PR meant to work in their favor works against them; anyone who admits they have "tons of positions open" for any reason is pretty much admitting that vacancies have opened up for a variety of reasons, and those reasons aren't usually good ones.

Edit: -sigh- I just got another telegram. I almost wish people had to take IQ tests to do a lot of things. I won't make mention of the poor English in which this telegram was written (it may not be the writer's first language, for one), and I won't mock the fact that they can't count to 3 (they told me to change regions in three steps, steps 1, 2, and 4). What I will mention and mock is the fact that it is an anti-fascist region, who is taking steps to squash fascism in their region. And if you had any intelligence at all, if you looked at my country, you'd see I am a fascist. And yet, they think I'd be perfect to join.

Well here's my creation, I actually made two because the first one somehow turned out to be hyper-socialist with a nonexistant economy, which is pretty much the exact opposite of what I wanted... Number two is more to my liking.

They repeatedly stated in the signup and the Terms and Conditions you can't create two nations. You might wanna deal with that...

Haven't had a problem with it yet. Obviously I didn't read... If there is a problem, then I'll deal with it later. :p
