Today I was swimming around the perimeter of Castle Anvil and I found a little wooden door, half-submerged in the water. This was the entrance to Smuggler's Cave.
Here comes the spoiler:
I went in and it looked like a possible pirate/bandit hang-out, but nobody was home. There was another door inside that required a key to enter. I don't have the key and this place seems like it could be linked to a quest.
Has anybody got any information on this place?

Totally psyched roleplayer answer: this location provides some oblique clues about the TG questline and the Grey Fox in particular (secret tunnel under Castle Anvil, "Followers of the Grey Fox" book beside a bed within, the Grey Fox's unexplained concern for the well-being of the Countess of Anvil during a mission, the Count of Anvil has been mysteriously missing for years, eh?)
Slightly more cynical answer: yes, there is banditry afoot. Namely, you can see what's behind the door by buying the "Thieves Den" plug-in from Bethesda
