Favorite posse? (SPOIERS)

Post by Belthan »

Given the large number of NPCs that you can get to tag along with you at various times during the game, and the recent thread about uses for the Adoring Fan, it got me wondering:

Who's in your favorite posse?

Right now I have Martin and Jauffre with me and they think we're going to Cloud Ruler Temple. Not today, pal! They can't be killed and they kick major butt, so I'm letting them help me with my MG quests. I just wish I'd have thought of this before I did the DB quests. :D In fact, I think I might have to start a new character just to try that...

Hmm. "Age and treachery will always defeat youth and skill." I like. That had never even occurred to me before.

None. I like doing stuff MYSELF - and, incidentally, getting the points for it!

I hear you. I wouldn't hire nameless thugs to do my killing for me (well, as the DB Listener I guess I do), but it's not so much about letting them do your work for you and more about the "cool factor" of seeing interesting NPCs do unexpected things (but maybe I just have a big old P&P D&D monkey on my back :) ).

Chaotic Good character says: "diverse experiences make better leaders."

Chaotic Neutral character says: "head of the Blades, eh? There's a bandit; let's see how good you really are. "

Chaotic Evil character says: "oh man, the heir to the throne just got toasted! That was awesome!"

Does any one know if the DB assassins or the mage apprentices can die or do they just go unconscious? if they do die, do more come back at the sancuary and arcane university?

They can all die. Only so-called "essential" characters go unconscous, and you can tell who they are because your pointer will look like a crown when you talk to them, as opposed to the round thing it looks like otherwise.

Not sure about DB followers, but I've always been able to find replacements for AU redshirts. Although now that I think about it, the place is lousy with 'em, so I'm not 100% sure if they're really being replaced by new recruits, or if I just haven't gotten the whole student body killed off yet
