Paladin stronghold: items disappearing?

Post by Lady Viola »

Hi, I have a question for those who played a paladin. When you talk to Sir William Reirrac and he gives you the tasks, he specifically mentions that you get your own private room in the building, and you can "drop your stuff off" before doing your tasks. Now I'm wondering if I went into the wrong room, because for weeks (game time) I've been dropping off stuff that I didn't need at the moment; bits of the Gesen bow, wave shaft, armor... Lo and behold, I come back to get it, and EVERYTHING except for a gem bag and the dragon wardstone is gone. All my preciooooooouusssss things gone....*wails*

Anyone know why? (And I know you're not supposed to just drop stuff on the floor, but the so-called "private room" had no furniture. It was just floor... except for two weird order statue-head things.

Thanks!

I don't think you can drop things on the floor anywhere without it disappearing, but containers in other strongholds usually store your stuff without it going missing. Having not played as a Paladin I'm not sure if this is the case in the Paladin's private room.

If you are missing stuff you need, use Shadowkeeper to edit them back into your inventory.

Yeah, thanks for replying. I thought the whole "private room" thing was an exception to the "floor dropping" thing. I probably used the wrong room. Clearly, when Sir William Reirrac said "the room was behind him," he meant otherwise. Oh well, who needs all those items anyway? Now, even Jan with his Strength of 9, can haul around all of my party's stuff by himself.

It is rather odd

The only room in the Radiant Heart that "seems" to match the description of a "private room" and would therefore logically appear to be "your" room does not have any containers in it. The storage room next to the southeast exit has one or two containers. Also the "stable" like entrance room has two containers. I ran into the same conundrum when I played a Paladin and joined the order. Fortunately I didn't leave anything floor. Sorry that you lost some good items. :(

Any items (except game/quest critical) left on the floor will deteriorate over time, sorry. Place any important items inside chests and containers, I myself prefer to fill up things just outside the Copper Coronet, since I tend to visit it often.
