Resolution Problems.... HELP!!!!!

Post by Yodaman_90025 »

I have a very annoying problem... well at least it is to me.

I just purchased the Dungeon Lords CE and my system is very capable of playing the game at the highest graphics settings.... this is where the problem comes in. I cant change the screen resolution more than 800 X 600. It will show that i have changed the resolution but if i restart the game it is back at 800 X 600... after i change the resolution and go directly into gameplay there is no change...

Does any 1 kno how i can change the screen resolution???

It's rather odd, because since your monitor supports the game's highest resolution?, well.... this is a new one for me

You can adjust the higher resolution than 800x600 but only effects the ingame window sizes no changes in main game window. patch 1.4 also improves the vision of the game. so do not bother to change it

Ok, firts off yes my monitor is fully capable to display higher resolutions...
And second, Beorthric, i have the CE, CE means Collectors Edition... which means Patch Version 1.5 so theres no point in trying 2 down grade and i stated that the resolution would not change during gameplay! That is my problem!

Well, I understand what you're saying, but the game looks perfectly fine at 800/600.

I don't intend on being crass or disrespectful, but it's like having an automobil that has an actual top speed of 110 mph, yet the speedometer numbers go up to 150. Why worry about making the car's top speed match the listed speed? What's the point? The vehicle looks and runs beautifully at low speeds!

Does it make the HUD smaller? Because that is worth it in itself. HUDs can really make you miss out on things in the game if you aren't paying attention. (i.e. creatures/items hiding behind the minimap)

Try playing 800X600 with antiliasing and whatever else at 4X everything I play at full res with 16X or 8X everything :)

hmm, I think its

1. ..a matter of getting what you paid for,

2. ..more enjoyment through better overall graphics (..otherwise we would all be content with 640x480 greyscale),

3. ..obtaining ACCEPTABLE quality on some LCD screens. A LOT of people now have LCD monitors with what amounts to a "fixed" setting (..the LCD's native resolution). This isn't to say that you can't "de-res." the monitor, but with many of these monitors IF you do that the picture turns to pixelated cr@p. Viewable yes, "looks beautiful"? Definitly Not.
