Summitmist Manor - Spoilers possible

Post by Ihadss »

Anyone know what the deal is with Summitmist Manor in Skingrad? I have talked to just about everyone in the city and all they tell me is that there is a weird party goin' on in the house. The door to the joint cannot be picked, a key is required. I am only a level 6 so I suppose it is possible that there is a quest involved i have not yet come across. Anyway, I would appreciate any insights or clues . . . not necessarily lookin for a spoiler as I like to figure things out by myself as much as I am able.

The Summitmist Manor is a contract from the Dark Brotherhood. It is called 'Whodunit?'

Yeah, that quest is a blast! It's kinda like the film "Ten Little Indians" (except that you're the killer).
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

That's an understatement of epic proportion. I have to say, I was expecting a whole lot more from this quest with all the hype it was given.

Admittedly, if you just wait until each character is alone and then kill them it's pretty easy (and dull, because they are dumb - even after people start dying it's not much of a challenge to get the survivors alone). But the fun is in the ridiculous variety of interesting dialog each character has: they react very differently depending on their Disposition toward you, so using bribery or speechcraft can greatly change the personal stories they're willing to share with you. And that pales in comparison to the things they say about each other, particularly once you start killing them. Apparently some of them were never taught not to speak ill of the dead :)
