I really like those so-called enemy adventuring parties that you meet either in the wilderness or in inns. Such an attitude and totally unaware of who they are dealing with! :D

I also like the voices of the dopplegangers, "Its useless to resist", and those damned mirror imaged/hasted great dopplegangers... And one monster in special, Korax the Ghoul, "Korax good dog"... :)

Sure, just be very careful; they hit for 20+ damage. I suggest hit & run.

The Skeleton Warriors. Not the ones that shoot arrows, though. The other ones in that maze were fun. Imoen killed them with hide and back stab wearing boots of speed to duck around corners. :D :D

Ghouls and Ghasts are cool, easy to kill, good experience, valuable items. And Doppelgangers, they're fun too. Just for the whole idea of this epilectic, moaning dude that takes your identity.

I can understand your proud of your forum-name, but there is no need to bump a 5year old thread for that without even adding anything to the thread.

Ace Alec and the cultists.
Definately my favorite and most challanging fight in BGI(OK Tales)
The Group Just Before You Get to the Temple of Baahl
Always enjoy ripping them up at the Height of my powers its a pretty
good fight.

As For Singular Monsters
Vamperic Wolves
Remember the first one I ran into when I had no magical weapons and couldn't hit the thing. At least it got me reading the info bar to figure out what was happening from then on.LOL
:) Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL :)

Wolf.

In that first area of Chapter 1, when you & Imoen take on a wolf close to the the site of Gorion's demise. A wolf is a great monster for a two zero-XP characters (one of which is a weakling thief): a win-able fight, but that wolf really made it feel like we were in a dangerous wilderness right out of the gate. At that opening point of the story, that encounter with a wolf made reaching the Friendly Arm Inn really feel like an accomplishment.
Why is it that whenever I finally get around to playing a new game for the first time,
I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...

i loved that gullykin maze, its so cool, its like a proper dungeon, anyway i love kobolds , love em love em love em.

Lies! Proper dungeons have treasure in them instead of just infinite traps and kobolds.

In any case, there is something truly wonderful about sending my cleric, Minsc, and Ajantis wading into a horde of 20+ gibberlings and watching the chunks fly. Gnolls and xvarts work too, but they carry weapons, which somehow detracts from the experience.

I just wish my turn undead was high enough to destroy masses of skeletons :( I want to watch them all explode, not just 4 or 5 of them, and then the others run away.
