Wow. Those fish are super-heavy. :p The ocean, eh? Might give it a shot since I've already started playing Fable: TLC for the second time. Oh by the way, the heaviest fish that I caught is around 75g.

Just win the fishing contest to get the better fishing pole and the hat (don't think they make the fishes bigger but they make fishing easier). Then just fish. Everytime I fish I get a bigger fish than before, so where you fish doesn't seem to be as important as to keep doing it.

Woah, that's heavy. Come to think of it, rounding up the figures will make it like 118 tonnes! That's crazy.

LOLZ I was liek at my friendz house, and u know, he caught a Hippo LOLZLOLZ. That weight of thew fish is so phony, no offence. 118'96'322? The line would snap after one tug, or it would go free in like 2 seconds. Unless you really can, but I don't think it's possible. Maybe a little more than 100'000...

So what exactly is the tensile strength of the fish line used in Fable? I was unaware of published formulas for what size fish you can get, how hard they pull, etc. Just because the numbers seem unlikely doesn't mean you need to try to sound smart by making up rules that have absolutely no basis in fact. Now I don't believe that they actually have gotten a fish that big, but that doesn't mean I'm going to start making things up or pretending I know the game mechanics to say what the limit of the fish weight is.

Just because you have only gotten 670g doesn't mean that is the highest possible. MANY people have gotten a heavier fish than that, in fact just about every person that has posted in this thread has caught a bigger fish than you (including me).

Ok, FYI, I didn't post any game mechanics, I didn't try to sound smart, I didn't make up rules, I posted my opinion and a little sarcastic remark. If you can prove that you can get a fish over 100'000, be my guest, it was just an estimate, not a guaruntee. What I was saying was that if catching a fish that weighs 90'000 g or so takes 3 tugs or so when is it pulling away to snap, what are the chances of you bringing in a fish that weighs over 100'000'000. The heavier the fish, the more it pulls, giving you less time to reel. I'm no math genius, but if you use ratios or whatever it seems impossible. And also, I know a lot about this game, so you don't need to say that I am trying to "sound smart", I usually know what I'm talking about. There isn't a fish in anything (real life, video games etc.) that weighs 118 tonnes, save for a blue whale, though I don't think even the Hero could catch a whale with a fishing rod.
