Tutu Core Rules

Post by Vaelan »

I'm just curious about the description of Core Rules while I'm playing BG1Tutu... it says that it's the BG1 rules but for what difficulty? I never changed it from default in vanilla BG1 (so I'm assuming it was on normal) and I can't figure out what exactly it changes in the game (since it DOES seem much more difficult, but it could also be the fact that my protagonist is a lowly level 2 sorcerer atm).

Can anyout out there clarify some of the differences in the core rules, in comparison to 'normal' as per BG1tutu?

You would probably receive a much more informed response by posting your question on in the BG1Tutu forum on the pocketplanegroups site, since they are the ones that made the mod.
Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. The latter cannot understand it when a person does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses their intelligence.

The normal difficulty has the folling difference to core rules in BG2:

- monsters do only 75 percent damage
- scroll scribing is always successful
- max HP at level up

Since Tutu uses the BG2 engine this shouldn't be different.
In IWD you can see the descriptions if you change the difficulty in the external configuration program. It's probably the same in your game.
