Fire Spouts Trial

Post by wizard0001 »

How do you get out of the fire spouts trial. I have the walkthrough map, elven spirit bow is not where it is shown. There is no door where it is supposed to be. Is there a trigger somewhere in the room to open it. I've been at this for 2 hours. All I manage to do is get myself killed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am playing the collectors edition.

Once you've killed enough of the spirits, platforms in the room will act like elevators, allowing you to get the bow and leave.

So, you can make it without killing the Elder shooting you from high up?

As to be mentioned in the walkthrough, standing on a platform when summoning occurs will make your job easier.

Enter the room step on central platform kill summonings, do it again and be ready for elders. Of course standing on a central platform does not diminish the number of summonings, but it will be summoned one by one and you will have enough time to kill'm.

Otherwise in a minute the chamber will fill with ghosts and this outnumbering is probably beyond the all kind of skills, you cannot do anything but run in circles and wait for them to kill themselves with their own spells which is not a good tactic.

Good hunting

P.S. Maybe 10 Fire Nova may kill'm i dunno, i havent tried.

I used to try this but it takes 20-25 minutes before the platforms lower. It's best to just stand away from the center platform and fight, and it only takes about 5 minutes if you survive that long!

Haha, Yeah, i've done the run in circles thing with my first character (that made it that far). That means your character really is sucking, or you are just waiting too long to kill. Every character I've had since then, whether be fighter or mage, could take out all of those guys as long as you go for it and don't let them pile up. I had the room empty with time to spare after every spawn with my last character that was doing a lousy 5hp damage /w melee.

ALso, those platforms should come down after you kill all of the enemies that spawned. Look up and you should see a little glittering in one of the walls from the spirit bow. My platforms never lower after I go up them so I have to break some bones to get back to the exit.

You do not need to kill the Elder in order to complete this Trial. You just have to killoff all the waves of enemies. You will get alot of experience for killing the Elder, but it will take a serious time commitment in order to do it.

If you are mighty and kill every spawns quickly of course you do not need to stand on a platform. This tactic is useful for weak characters.
