Weird Glitch in Skyline Apartments (possible mild spoilers)?

Post by saintcamber »

Wondering if anyone's run into this glitch. Mods I'm using, for reference, are the latest unofficial patch, the Clans/P&P mod, and I also have histories unlocked. No other tweaks to the game.

Whenever I go into any of the apartments in the Skyline, whether my own if it's my haven (I often play Tremere, and it's a nonissue in that building) or someone else's, the furniture is placed...oddly. For instance, there'll be dressers on top of kitchen counters, the computer will be completely inaccessible due to boxes or dressers around it, chairs going through the ceiling or floor...

Due to this bug, I usually try to AVOID getting the downtown haven (I either make Lacroix angry and just stick with the Santa Monica haven, or play Tremere/Nosferatu), since this usually ends up preventing me from using the computer or sometimes even being able to get around the apartment itself.

But I'd obviously like to be able to use this haven, so if anyone knows of a way to fix this, I'd be very thankful.

Which patches are you using? Do you have any mods/skins installed?

Just the ones I mention in my previous post. The latest unofficial patch and the Clans/P&P mod.

Sorry, missed that when reading your post - I really should read things more carefully lol.

Have you got the official 1.2 patch installed aswell as the 2.5 Unofficial patch?

Yes to both questions!

And it's alright, I miss things like that all the time too!

No idea....but the last patch I played was 2.1 or so....And I never played with Mods. Sounds like a graphic engine problem though. Blad clipping or something like that. You are sure that none of the clan mods caused that problem ?

I agree with Lucita that it sounds like a graphic engine problem. I doubt its from your mods or the 2.5 patch as nobody else has reported these problems from that patch. Have you tried reinstalling in case, for some wierd reason, it did not install the graphic files correctly for that particular part of the game?

I doubt it is caused by the mods or the patch - I also experienced this problem once with the 2.3 patch and w/o the p&p-mod. Loading a previous save _from another part of the city_ fixed it for me.

Well...sounds like a typical graphic bug...bad programming.

This happens to me all the time. Big green couches in the fish tank, grandfather clocks floating above the coffee table, etc. First time it happened I was playing a Malkavian and thought it was part of the game. Anyway, it seems to happen if I play too long. Simply quitting the game for a fresh restart fixes it every time.
