Mr Irenucus is over-reacting at the final duel in the Elven City.
That must be due to the fact (a) that I killed his beloved sister and (b) I am preventing him to enter the pantheon of Farun Gods.
He casts a time spell and schedules in the meantime the death of all my party in one blow.
I transform into the Slayer to no effect.
Protective spells do not seem to work.
Is there an easy way to send Mr Irenicus to his permanent final place and destination (hell)?
During the game I worked closely with Mr Jan Jansen, and due to this fact I can not use high octane spells, just the common stuff.
What tactics are fool-proof to dispatch Mr Irenicus?

Yep, that's the best way. Oh, and johnnybravo1, it's good that you are putting (spoilers) in the title, but then if you reveal what the spoiler is about in the title AS WELL, it defeats the whole purpose of putting spoiler in the title to begin with. Maybe just give a general description, like (SPOILERS)Chapter 7 Help or something similiar, instead of letting the whole world know the ending.

Spoilers and cheese alert:
What really helped me in my first game was summoning a Nishruu or, better yet, an Hakeashar. They eat spells and you can't hurt them with magic. Sort of a mage's bane. Back them up with some other summons that don't die easily, like maybe a Skeleteon Warrior or something. Haste your party, summon your summons, make tracks and let the summons fight Irenicus for some time. He'll waste some spells on them (like Time Stop)and you can just wait it out.
Other spells that are really useful in that encounter are True Sight ( you can't target him if you can't see him)and spells that take out Irenicus' defenses, like Breach.
I suggest carefully reading the descriptions that come with spells, they give good information about what they really do.
Who's in your party except Jan?
