I need missing NPCs back

Post by MasterDarkNinja »

I've been playing through SOA for the past couple of days, but there's two NPCs who I didn't let in my party at first that I really want to find and have them join me now, Yoshimo and Haer'Dalis. The problem is I can't find these two anywhere. I think I might have messed up and gotten rid of them forever (outside of the world of cheating them back), so I need to know how I can get them back if it's possible.

Yoshimo - I believe I let him join me when I first found him, then kicked him out right away and told him to meet me at the Copper Coronet later. Earlier (right after chapter 2 started) he was indeed at the Copper Coronet. A while ago I sided with Bodhi in the guild war and started chapter 3. The moment I entered chapter 3 he disappeared into thin air. Reading through some old posts I see that if you side with Bodhi he disappears forever if he wasn't in your party at that point, so I definitely screwed up with him. :(

Haer'Dalis - I think I screwed up big time right after completing the Bard stronghold quest by telling him to get lost when he offered to join me. He's never once been a part of my party this game. I thought I remembered him saying that he'll wait for me somewhere, but I can't find anything about it in my journal about him saying that to me, nor can I find him anywhere in Amn (unless he's somewhere I don't usually ever visit).

At this point I think there's only two solutions to my problem (with cheating to get them back), both of which I need help on.

1) Figuring out the variables I need to change in the shadow keeper in order to get them back, anyone have any clue which ones I need to change? I've been fooling around with a bunch of variables in shadow keeper trying to get them back myself, but so far the only thing that has changed is that Valen spawns right when I load my saved game and tries to recruit me on Bodhi's side.

2) I read through some old topics first before making this post that there's a way to CLUAConsole party members back into the game. I read some people did this to get back Yoshimo. I didn't even know you could summon joinable party members this way. Unfortunately I didn't find any posts saying what you need to type to CLUAConsole an NPC back into the game. Anyone know what I need to type to summon Yoshimo and/or Haer'Dalis?

I can comment on Haer'Dalis, at least. If he doesn't join your party, then he stands around in the Five Flagons Inn, in the Bridge District. He's near the bar, standing against the wall. Have you checked there?

Not sure what's up with Yoshimo.

I've checked every inch of the Five Flagons Inn, even casting true sight incase he's invisible, Haer'Dalis isn't there.

Looking closer at Haer'Dalis' variables I think I can eventually get him back without cheating when I beat SOA and enter TOB. Unfortunately that same method won't work for Yoshimo.

Haer'Dalis should be on the lower floor of the Five Flagons Inn behind the stage where the rest of the performers are found.

Yoshimo is gone after Chapter 3.

Is Yoshimo gone in chapter 3 even if you side with the Shadow Thiefs? I've never had Yoshimo in my party neither, but I've heard from other people that he dies, permanently and even if he's in your party, at chapter 3. As I said I've never had him with me but every time I enter the Copper Coronet, the first time after I've reached chapter 3, I see him falling to the ground with the feedback text saying: Yoshimo: dead.
Is there no way to get him back after chapter 3?

Yoshimo does indeed die in Chapter 3 regardless of which side you choose. It has to do with a deal he made with Irenicus. Check the floor where Yoshimo was in the Copper Coronet and you might find something interesting. ;)

Haer'dalis and troupe...

If you didin't help rescue his friends when he asked, then I think he goes to the astral prison himself and never comes back. If you take this quest and rescue his friends then lose him from your party then I think he will hang out at the Five Flagons.

HOW ANNOYING! The only pure thief NPC in the whole game, and he's taken away no matter what. I think that's bad planning by the game pruducers. Especially since the thief skills is a must for any party.
oops, sorry for the thread break.

No, it's made that way to make people to pick up the person you find in the Spellhold. It's a way of saying that "this person will enhance the game due to her being an important person to the storyline" without really screaming it out loud.

But yeah, the fiftyeight time you replay the game you already know the story inside out and kinda wishes that there were more rogues out there. Or at least a rogue that isn't a mage in the same time.

But well, every warrior is a human male and every healer is an elven female. There are lots of things about the game that they could've made better. :)

You can always make your own characters and go through the game with your own party.

Haer'Dalis bug

I think there's a bug if you take the playhouse deed and are in the middle of prepping the play.
I rescued Haer'Dalis and his team from the Planar Prison and he ran with us for a time. I now want him back, because he had some good Long Swords in his possession, and his romancing Aerie was fun. However, when i removed him he repeated the line he said when I told him I didn't need him in Mekrath's tower "Very well... find jewel...meet in Flagon". He then wanders off, and I can't find him in the flagon.
1) Does he normally say one of the "Are you sure you want me to go" lines?
2) Has anyone else experienced this?
3) Does anyone have a fix?

I can reload (and I have in order to see if he reappears in the Flagon), but I like to chop and change my party and I don't want to be stuck with a melee fighter with less than 60 HP for the whole game.
