Yyyeaaahhh, this is a trivial question, but its driving me buggy. IS THERE ANY WAY TO STOP MAGIC ITEMS FROM GLOWING??? (playing Xbox version, btw)
Thanks all! ^__^

Not on the Xbox that I know of. On the PC, there's a mod, Improved No Glow, which does just that.

It doesn't have anything to do with magicka-based skills, but with effects created using the original Morrowind engine. As I wrote above, it can be turned off on the PC using a graphics mod, but on the Xbox, mods simply aren't possible.

How would that help at all?
[quote="MasterArpeggio]Yyyeaaahhh"]
Well if you mean the Shinyness (I know that's not a word) that magic items (such as scrolls) give off, then no, there's no way to stop it from glowing.
The glowing is there to help you by telling you that the item is enchanted. May I ask why you would want to take it off?

XD 'Cause I like the more realistic look of the armor that isn't enchanted. And yeah, I know its a land where magic exsists and whatnot so it can technically be 'realistic' for their purpose. But darnit if the shinyness doesn't get on my nerves.
Thanks for clearing that up for me by-the-way. ^__^ You're great.

@IM,
I can well understand why somebody would want to remove that cling-wrap look. I've used the no-glow mod for a while now, and much prefer it. Too bad the shininess can't be turned off somehow for thems on XBox if they'd rather not have items look like a wrapped lunchtime sandwich

LOL Yes indeed. XD I guess I'll keep lookin' for the Daedric armor so the cling-wrap will go away, I assume its as strong or almost as strong as the Lord's Armor.
