Looking for base versions of silence, chameleon and invisibility *spoilers*

Post by qizatch »

I'm looking for the base spells for silence, chameleon and invisibility but can't seem to find either. The illusions specialized guild in Bravil doesn't sell them. Certain mages in Imp. City guild sells improved versions of these though they won't let me create new spells from them. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me find these.

I think in the Market District you can find 2 merchents who sell basic level spells, but I couldn't name them of the top of my head.
And lo ye must learn of the great war that raged fo a couple of posts and brought the citadel momentaraly to its knees
Lookie!

I tend to appear briefly and disappear very quickly after that, try not to let it bother you.

[Minor spoiler]
You should seek out Ita Rienus (female Imperial) of the Bravil Mages' Guild. She usually hangs around in their basement there but tends to show her face on the main floor from time to time. She's the one with the lowest versions of each spell, those being of Journeyman level.
The spells would be:
Chameleon - Chameleon 25% for 30 seconds
Shadow Shape - Invisibility for 30 seconds
Hush - Silence for 10 seconds on Target

[url="http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Spells"]A good place to find out where to buy the spell you need.[/url]

[end spoiler]

Actually, shortly after I gave up looking for those spells I found them! I started a new character to try some different things and suddenly this guy comes up to me and says: Hey, wanna buy some chameleon and invisibility spells? At least they seem to be the base versions but I can't test it til I go get them with my mage. I'm confident silence will come along in a very similar way if I keep this up...

If anyone else has trouble finding these spells look below. You've been spoiler warned though. (I hope this is considered enough of an effort to hide the quest related stuff although the title doesn't say "spoiler". In my opinion it's not much of a spoiler anyway, but as I mention a quest...)

**SPOILER**
Get the Dark Brotherhood to contact you, then complete the initiation quest. Head to your new HQ and find the cat with a nasty tongue. He's the one who sells these spells.

EDIT: ah, posted a few seconds after the above one... Guess these weren't the right ones after all. Thanks a lot for the input :)

Ita Renius won't sell me a single spell. Disposition is at 100 and I don't even have an option to buy spells from her. Anyone know what's up with that?

And sorry about the spoiler thing. I did not find out how to change the thread name and thought it was appropriately hidden and notified within the post as well.

[Blackened]Make sure that you are trying to buy the spells after 8 AM and before 6 PM. At 6 PM she'll go eat and after that she'll wandering around a bit before going to sleep. [/blackened]

I don't know, maybe this is a lame way to find where to get the spells you need, but I just go to the spell database on the main page for this site. You just pick the spell you are looking for and it tells you everywhere you can get it, as well as how powerful it is, the duration, and the cost. Believe me, after looking for a specific restore attribute spell for over 90 minutes, the database was a welcome relief of my frustration.
