Stuck at tower in Arindale

Im stuck at the tower in Arindale. i went got the horn talked to the guy in the tower ermindel or whatever his name is. he gave me the ring of talador put the horn on pedestool then went to talk to the tower guy again and the door wont open i have the mirror, i put the horn where its suppose to go. i used to see the door when i used the mirror put know i cant. i cant go to fargrove cause of this. any help would be graciosly accepted.
