If you are a melee character then you have several choices. "Best" leaves a lot of room for argument. I personally loved the murren greathammer, only downside is that you can't stab your enemies when you knock them down, but others may prefer a swifter weapon like your solus greatsword. :D

I personally like the frying pan with mana augmentations in it for a caster, so that would be my favorite melee weapon for my caster chars.

Cant forget the obvious one (the sword of aeons . . . if you dont mind being an evil murderer) ;)

Well not in Fable: TLC, it's been toned down.

the SoA is strong but you really don't need it at the end of the game because the enemys are so easy. the solus greatsword is the strongest legendary weapon in the game (with the exeption of SoA and The Harvester). (BTW, does any one know how to obtain the havester b/c its in all the AR stuff 4 fable and i still dk how to get it). Also, I prefer to buy a master weapon and augment it to my whim (exp, health, and sharpening unless i have a caster than i use mana mana health).

The solus greatsword is a heavy weapon. how is it quicker than the Murren Greathammer?

Quite simple, place points into speed and heavy weapons become "quick". In regards to the SoA, it has been toned down a lot in Lost Chapters, if you are going for pure damge then the Solus sword is the way to go.

About speed, I have maxed out speed and am using the Harbinger (i am using a sword guy!) and it is no quicker than normal.

Whats up with that?

It's definately the Solus Greatsword at 314DP (damage points), but I've been growing accustomed to the Sentinus while just wandering around. I use the SoA while on quests, as it restores Health and Mana.

the katana hinyru is the best it might not have as much damage as others but its the lightest weapon on the game plus it looks cool i like the way the solus greatsword looks dont get me wrong but i prefer speed accuracy trickery and chaos rather than just rushing in a randomly swating away.

I like the Solus Greatsword, swinging a big ass sword around like that is cool. Plus it had the dragon blade, and is SUPER strong.

Are you sure that this weapon exists in either the original Fable or the TLC version? I don't see it listed in any walkthrough that I can think of.

How many times have I said it, THERE IS NO SINGING SWORD! If you want definate, unrefusable proof, download this mod, it adds ALL the weapons in the game to chests near the Guild, and there is NO Singing Sword. The weapon that deals the most damage is Briar Rose's katana, which you can only obtain through mods, seeing as it`s an NPC weapon.

Same here. Avo's Tear looks cool and nice to see. Its also long and can hit enemies slightly further than you compared to most long swords. :D
