Where are the shifter superabilities?!

Post by robot flux »

Right, so I have currently leveled my character into druid 5/shifter 10. I received the newest wildshape making it possible for me to transform into a huge dire tiger, medusa or mindflayer.

If my memory serves me correctly, the mindflayer has the brainsucking ability whereas the medusa can turn living beings into stone, right? Do these abilities occur while fighting or does one have to "activate" them like e.g. "power attack"? Since the sheet says something like "and accessing some of its (the creatures) abilities. Furthermore, can you shoot spikes while being a manticore?? At least I haven't seen it's possible, am I wrong?

In other words, what are excactly the abilities one can choose with [insert wildshape creature here]???

You have to activate these abilities.

While transformed, left click to go to your radial menu, then, from there, you should see the glowing orb (it should look like the one you click when you want to cast a spell) at that point you should see the abilities.

As a manticore you CAN shoot spikes.

It is a very handy ability.

Oh yes, Shifter is a great class!
Specially when you reach higher levels.
But you have to be careful cause sometimes the creatures that your characters shifts into have much more HP than your own character as his/her normal self. For example your character may have 60 HP whereas your character in the shape of Medusa may have 120 HP and in case "the Medusa" gets wounded badly with only 2 or 3 HPs left, you should not shift your character to his/her normal shape because it will die!
Try resting a bit and raising "the Medusa's" (for example) HP before shifting back ;)
