No "Application Data" :o
When your in explorer, click on the tools menu, click on folder options

Click on the view tab, scroll down and look whether the "show hidden files & folders" option is activated. If not, do so.

The application data is a hidden folder.

Windows explorer not Internet explorer. The explorer with which you look at files, I thought that was clear from context, apparently it wasn't.
Hmmm.... OK, let's try doing this another way then...

Go to your Bookmarks menu and select 'Manage Bookmarks'.

In your Bookmark Manager, go to File menu >> Export

Save the bookmarks.html file to your desktop.

That will back up all of your bookmarks but not the whole profile. So it's not as complete as the other way but at least it keeps your bookmarks safe. If you would rather continue working to get the other way to work let me know and we can spend more time on it (just don't want to get you too frustrated).
Ok I have done that.

See if I could find this Applications Data do you think I would find my old music player and my old bookmarks too? In its hidey hole?
