Mage Enchantments: Intelligence vs. Magicka
After experimenting with enchanting Intelligence and Fortify Magicka, i learned that fortifying Intelligence (+10, Grand Soul Gem) results in 20 added Magicka points. But fortify Magicka (with Grand Soul Gem) gives you 24 extra Magicka points. So i was wondering if there is any reason to fortify Intelligence over fortifying Magicka?

There has only ever been one reason for fortifying intelligence. It should boost your magic capabilities. For example, fortify intelligence should allow you to make stronger potions that last longer. However, there has been discussion on other threads in this forum that indicate that process doesn't work like it did in ES3.
In ES3, the drill was to get together a whole whack of fortify intelligence ingredients, and make a couple of potions. Then drink them, and while they are active, make a few stronger ones. Repeat until your intelligence was in the high 3000s, then make ridiculous things like potions of fortify agility 3200 for 260 seconds, or restore health 800 for 320 seconds, thus being able to essentially make yourself into Superman for a few minutes.
From previous threads on this forum, apparrently ES4 doesn't work the same way, and fortifying intelligence beyond 100 has none of the cooler effects that it used to have. So, while fortify intelligence potions up to 100 (assuming it's not there yet) should have beneficial effects on your ability to make potions or enchant items, fortifying intelligence past that apparrently does no good aside from increasing your magicka. Your experiment would seem to indicate that directly fortifying magicka is a more efficient approach.
