Robes... (SPOILERS)
Robes... (SPOILERS)
I have the Redas Robe of Deeds, and it's awesome, but is there a better Robe? I am aware that the Robe of St. Roris in the original had a constant effect, but since it is cast when used now, it's not that good. I'm pretty sure that the Robe of the Hortator isn't better either. Have I found the best Robe in the game? And if not, can you tell me where the best one is/how to get it? Or maybe you have a personal recipie...?
Thanks
Thanks

You of all people should know that this kind of thread requires a SPOILER tag in the title.
I'm changing this one, per the sticky thread in the forum, but need to do this yourself.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Sorry Fable. I looked it over because I didn't really give a spoiler in my post, but I'll remember that for next time. Thanks.

Thank ye.
Are you on a PC? Because if so, there are several mods that add a variety of robes. Most are not enchanted, but some can hold pretty extensive enchantments.

No, I'm on Xbox unfortunatley. I was googling and I found a bunch of websites with Robe mods, and it made me wish that I was on PC. I also wish I had GOTY edition.
I only found 3 Robes that this UESP website mentioned: Redas Robe of Deeds, Robe of St. Roris, and Robe of Drake's pride. I would get Robe of Drake's Pride, but I'm pretty sure that it is part of a Telvanni quest, which I am unfortunatley a member of. Are there other good ones?

Those are the only robes I know of too.
The best I could suggest is to grab an exquisite robe of your own and place an enchantment of your choosing on it.
While I wouldn't recommend anything cheesy, like constant effect restore health, you could do something that allows constant effect water walking or water breathing, for example. I like water walking, it is handy for getting around, and exploring the coastal areas.
Night Eye or Light is another useful effect, or possibly fortify strength.
Or, you could go for some kind of enemy damaging cast on use spell even.
The possibilities are almost unlimited, and it really just depends on your personal gaming style.
EDIT
Minor spoiler, highlight below

Hang on.. there is a robe in the Bloodmoon expansion. I've never used it myself, but I've read about it here and there. Maybe somebody else here can remember its name?

Where can I buy an Exquisite Robe? I already have Exquisite Pants enchanted with Water Walking and Light. I was thinking about maybe enchanting the Robe with Bound Spells or Fortifications.

I usually "find" them...
There is a clothier in Tel Mora who sells a lot of exquisite gear, I can't recall if she has robes though. You might also try the clothier in the Under Skar area of Ald'ruhn.

Mantle of Woe, located in Rimhull(just 10 seconds south of the Skaal Village). It gives some neato stuff(bonus Magicka based on Intelligence if memory serves) plus some other small effect I think. However it also has a nasty side effect, 20 damage per second in the sun(someone correct me if the values are wrong).
I dunno, can the damage effect be negated 100% Magicka resist style? Never really bothered trying, but I sort of doubt it.
@Dragon, whats cheesy about perma health regen? 2 points or so(since thats about what he can fit CE style into an Exquisite robe) is not a lot, and its a nice alternative for a mage with low life and who can't be bothered to carry 20+ potions around.
@Greg, whats this Whitewalker robe? Sounds familiar but I accidently overwrote my old char who finished all the whatnot, so I don't know if I had it or not.

A robe that might be good is a robe with constant effect damage health on touch. It would mean anyone you fight would get killed as you hack them to death. I haven't tried it so I'm not that sure if it would work.

CE chamaeleon 50pts
CE frost damage 5pts on self
CE weakness to frost 5-10 pts on self
CE drain health 5-10 pts on self
Not so good for long term wearing, but a good stealing robe...
@ML - that would hurt anyone you talked to...

When a few people die, it's a tragedy. When thousands do, it's a statistic.

You can get an exqusite robe in balmora, by killing the enchanter of the mages guild there. I know that you can also buy them in Vivic, but can't remeber where.
