Other than her being very tired, yes.

Then she goes and starts an argument first thing this morning... the people we adopted Jasmine from said we shouldn't let her off leash until we have a very strong 'Come' command working. My wife and I talked about it and I agreed with them and we agreed that we wouldn't let her off leash outside (not counting the backyard of course) for a couple of weeks until we had worked on some training with her. Well my wife did the walk this morning and decided to let her off leash in the middle of the baseball field with 10 other dogs around....

Then she got all pissy when I told her she shouldn't have done it and that she was being very inconsiderate of my wishes since we had talked about it specifically and I made my point very clear. "But she didn't run away".... so just because it didn't end badly means it was OK to go against what we had agreed upon, what the professionals had recommended and what I had personally asked her not to do?

We haven't had a single training session, haven't worked on 'Come' at all, and she's been back less than 24 hours and is already ignoring my request. Boy does she know how to piss me off in a hurry.

Good thing your dog isn't the aggressive sort or that could have ended in a fight.

That's what SO's are best at ;) :p

That, combined with her ability to make you happy in a hurry, is how you know she's the right one for you!! At least that's my theory!! :)

I'm glad Jasmine didn't get lost or hurt.

And, yes, there was supposed to be a huge party today! Where is DR to kick things off? Hopefully, it will still be going on this afternoon, b/c I am about to head out!

I wasn't worried about her getting hurt or aggressive. We know all the other dogs that are there in the morning and Jasmine is a very happy, friendly dog (if anything she's more submissive than she should be). I was more worried about her running since she was picked up as a stray and we've only had her a total of 2.5 days (and my wife has only been here for 16 hours of that). So Jasmine hasn't formed enough of a bond to not be at risk for running. That was why we need to work on training a little more before letting her loose.
