I was wondering when i can expect to get a lightsaber? I would also like to know where i have to go to get one? Thanks for the help

You have to find the pieces that go into making a lightsabre. The earliest I've managed to build a sabre is reaching the first world after Telos (Duxon, for me on both occasions I've played the game).
Once you have all the pieces go to Bao Dur and ask him to create you a lightsabre.

You can buy a lightsabre on Dantooine and pick them up from various other places, I'm not certain whether you have to build your sabre before these other lightsabres become avaliable to you.

I think you have to find the lightsaber parts before being able to get the other lightsabers.

Indeed you do,The earliest I've ever gotten it is on my first world after Telos which was Nar Shaddaa There is a spoiler so let me know if you want to know how i got it.

I'd go with everyone else you can't get a lightsaber before Telos.The earliest you can get one is on the third planet.

if another character becomes a jedi is it possible to make a lightsaber for them also? if so how?

doesnt matter

it doesnt matter at all. you jsut need to find the peices. i actually found mine on the first planet i went to (dantooine). so it more a matter of finding them then just earning them as you go thru the story line. and im still wondering if any other party members can make them.

No,someone you can't make any more than one Lightsaber.But you can pick up some Lightsabers throughout the game.

There are loads of lightsabers in the game (more than enough for every NPC Jedi) so its not a problem.
