Custard mansion problem

Post by Sheikra »

I have defeated the Vampiress in the Slums district and I have spoken to Deliah in her Curio Shoppe but she never gave me the key to Custard Mansion. I checked the door and it is still locked.

What am I missing? What else do I need to do to get the key from Deliah?

I am a mage, lvl 8. Playing the Coll Ed version. I have joined the Mages Guild and the Sisterhood. I have not joined the Guild of Mystery.

Besides the SisterHood and the Eastern Guilds (these two do not count), you are only allowed to join two of the other guilds. If you joined any two of the following guilds already you will not be allowed to join the Guild of Mystery:

Fighter
Mage
Adapt

It sounds like you are a mage from the start, so therefore you should not join either of the other two or you will not be allowed to join the Thief Guild.

I am exactly the same. Though I have filled my two first tier classes. I had to return to speak to her. I think you always need to exit the conversation then start again. It obviously resets the information. I have the custard mansion key even with both first and second tiers full.

I hope my rambling makes sense.

You don't have to join the guild of mystery to do the custard mansion quest. If your first two classes are taken already, you just have to go through all the various chat options till she ask you do the quest. It's a great experience at the level you can first get it. There are a couple of lv 6 chest inside and one lv7 chest for you to open.

Speaking of Chest, I will say if you can't open the lv 4 chest in the fargrove sewers or the lv 6 and 7 chest you find early in the game, don't sweat it. Nothing really exciting drops out of any chest till you get in to the Tomb of Souls. By the time you get there, you really, really want to be able to open a lv 8 chest. The Katana of the Sun is easy to get out of the Demon room if your willing to open the chest to the right of the door if your facing out a few times. With all my plate wearing characters I was able to get a full set of deathlord armor out of that dungeon by just reloading the chest that dropped armor. I no longer worry about reloading on any chest before the Tomb of Souls though, even the Naga temple never drops anything worth a damn.
