Lothander quest help (desperate)
Lothander quest help (desperate)
I sorta put off the quest given by Lothander saying you are poisoned and need to be cured in 10 days too long. Now I am at the end of that 10 days apparently, and too far away from Baldur's Gate to complete the quest before I die. Anywhere I try to travel, I die instantly upon arrival from the poison, and so cannot do anything and cannot even seem to complete the quest now, is there anything i can do, or I did I get all the way to chapter 7 and now I'm screwed? Any help would be immensely appreciated, even if it is some sort of cheat as I am in chapter 7 now and don't want my game to be completely screwed.
If you have no chance of recovering your game through an earlier save (save often!
) then cheating is an option I suppose. It's a bit more complicated in Baldur's Gate.
Open baldur.ini in your Baldur's Gate directory (make a backup first), and under [Game Options] add Cheats=1. Save then load the game.
Press Ctrl and Tab together when ingame, and type the following into the console, to have your party moved back to Baldur's Gate instantaneously:
CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR0800")

"I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!"
Wow, that's a bit of an unpleasant turn of events. I didnt even know that you really did die from that curse, what an awkward predicament. Shame you didnt save a few more times under different names, dont you know, so you could have gone back a touch, but as you cant rectify that now I guess a touch of the old cheating is your only option. I'm sure if you go to google and search for Baldur's Gate cheats you'll come up with a few viable options. Once again, my heart goes out to you, man.
