Baldurdash Components

Post by Deadalready »

The Baldurdash Fix Patch is a good patch but truth be told I found it did a large amount of weird and unusual things on my computer, some annoying, some quite troublesome.

Either way I have Throne of Bhaal installed and many various parts of Baldurdash's fixes installed, but for the life of me the only thing I want to fix is the dreaded "_____ is busy." Now I'm wondering which singular portion of Baldurdash lets one fix that?

Download and install the latest patch for ToB. ;)

Erm I meant which, part/portion/individual bit of code from the entire Baldurdash patch itself fixes the "Busy" bug.

I don't know about baldurdash but that "appears to be busy" is a bug in Tob which is can be fixed with latest tob patch.

Seems these boards always recommend the same thing, regarding the order of Installation:

Baldur's Gate 2: SoA
Baldur's Gate 2: ToB
ToB patch (from Bioware.com)
Baldurdash patch

I always install as listed above, except I've never used the Baldurdash patch, so I don't know what fixes what, just that everything always seems to work. But I recall hearing (reading) the "busy" bug is fixed in the ToB patch, and the Baldurdash patch fixes other things that the official ToB patch doesn't fix, so the Baldurdash patch doesn't have same the fixes that the ToB patch contains.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.
Why is it that whenever I finally get around to playing a new game for the first time,
I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...

The Baldurdash fixes do not fix the "busy" problem. That is a bug introduced by the installation of ToB itself and is resolved by the official ToB patch.

Ah now that makes all the more sense, I did not know that.

Thanks.
