Backpath Glitch? (SPOILER)

Post by frankie2006 »

yeah, I took the easy way out and did the back-path, skipping all the main quests besides getting wrathguard, sunder and kneeing, well as you know you have to kill the main boss and kill the robot heart, well i did that got all the rings from him ect. and from the "main quest" after you kill him the skys of the volcano are suppose to clear, and azura is suppose to spawn and tell you thanks and give you a ring, however i killed him and took my leave into the chamber before the "final battle" where she is suppose to appear, she didnt :( . i saved just before the battle and tried again, still no azura, so i thinking you have to follow the quest the right way for her to spawn?
(she did spawn in a new game i made on mournhold after the MQ was done and she told me "good job" and fixed the skys  )

can anyone shed some light on my sit. thanks.

Uh....k.

1 - Put a spoiler warning in your topic title.

2 - What you just said is impossible. You are flat out incapable of getting Wraithguard(to my knowledge at least) without doing the mainstory missions and completing the Seven Trials.

3 - This isn't a glitch, this is you being lazy and not doing the game correctly.

first post on this sight so give me a break, and the game was designed with a back-path when you kill vevic, that you get an ancient dewmer artifact and you take the plans aginst dagoth ur, and some journals from red mountian to a man in tel fyr, and i did that leading to get wrathguard, so it is possible dont post in my forum telling me what i did was wrong grow up buddy, you wanna-be mod. and to your knowlage it cant be that far into the game if you dont know what the backpath is.

I think he was trying to say that it is kind of cheap to use the backpath way, and if that is what he ment, I agree with him.
"Of humble birth, he entered the Emperor's service in the lowly status of courier. Dispatched to Balmora in the waning years of the Third Era, he arrived in Morrowind, ignorant of the role he was to play in that nation's history."

and after you kill him, the guide to morrowind (not tribunal) says the skys will clear and that the blight storms will be gone ect. that is what im asking, why they didnt go away, and why azura didnt spawn and tell me good job. that is all i wanted to know. and for all the "special guys" (wont name any names) do you have to do all the mainstreem quests for her to appear or dose the backpath have a diffrent ending then the original.

I think that it has a different ending but I am not shure.

I can't comment on the back path route, though I've read it can be done.
But, as far as the skies clearing go, even if you beat the main quest the "conventional" way, you still get dust storms reasonably often.

I'm not completely sure that is what you are referring to, but I wanted to point this out in case it might be.

when you killed dagoth ur did you teleport out?, if so you have to go into his ante chamber(where you fight him first) and azura should spawn

It doesn't require a degree in rocket science to know you should read the stickies before starting in a new forum. ;) I'm putting a SPOILER tag on this thread, and you'll be expected to do so in the future. Your posting privileges could be suspended if you don't.

Por posita, you basically cheated, which is your right, no matter what anyone says. However, you feel cheated that you didn't get a pat on the back for cheating? I don't understand...what did you expect?

Not to start spamming here, but I think it has to be said. The topic isn't about whether or not what he did is 'right', and whether the back way is 'cheating'. It's possible, it's how he wants to play, let him go. It's the same if someone wants to know cheat codes, or if someone wants to mod their game and other people object. It's a game, people play for enjoyment, people seek help on forums to increase their enjoyment, so let them be.

On topic, I haven't done it that way, so I can't help you. :)

Yeah, probably a good call, so I will be gentle.

If you want the realy effects of winning, win. Don't short cut it...just play it through.

P.S. What I was referring to in my first post is that I don't know if it technically counts as a win(to the game) if you do the backpath. Might there be code that is dependant on a real win? I don't know. But I do know that quite a bit of the stuff should be impossible*SPOILERS*, like being Hortator, Nerevarine and such, since you never technically completed any of the trails other than the seventh(Eating the sin of the unmourned house or whatever)
