It's called the 'Master Cleanse' or a lemonade fast or lemonade cleanse, etc. Here is some more info about it.

We do it for 10 days, and the basics are for the 10 days you don't eat anything. All we have is the lemonade (1 part fresh lemon juice, 1 part grade-B maple syrup, pinch of cayenne pepper, 8 parts water) and water. We also add a cup of vegetable/potassium broth at night just for a different flavor. It works really well and even though the purpose isn't weight loss, both my wife and I lost 15 lbs the first time we did it.

Dar, I tried that once, but only managed to do one day! :o I was actually thinking about trying again. How long does it take to not be hungry anymore? I have read 3 to 5 days.

Actually I've never had a problem with hunger. The lemonade keeps you full and the only hunger I've felt is the normal 'haven't eaten in awhile time for lunch' type of hunger and drinking more lemonade fixes it. So maybe you weren't drinking enough lemonade if you were feeling hunger.

Now what I do feel are cravings. Like I'm not really hungry but a Pizza Hut commercial comes on and I'm all 'Mmmmmmm pizza!!!!'. The cravings get really bad around day 7.

And usually around day 3 you feel somewhat flu-like since all the junk in your intestines has been stirred up and is passing through you again. But that goes away after a day or two.

I still work during the cleanse. You just shouldn't exert yourself very much.

GoG, considering that 3 months ago I couldn't even jog 1/2 mile because of my asthma flaring up I'm pretty happy with how much I've improved.
