I am currently playing the game for the first time and I am up to the forbidden lands. Some quests seem to take a very long time and others happen very quick. I was wondering how my progress was going in the game and whether I should start to really get my characters stats up by taking on extra quests and fighting in the arena etc. I am currently level 12, very close to 13. I have completed a few additional quests, including looking for that annoying elf who didnt want his flask back! Level 13 just doesn't seem very high. I am currently killing these massive monsters in the forbidden land and I am wondering if I am strong enough.
Thanks, E

hi
Your level is very good where you currently are.You shoul just do great but don't forget to stuck up healing potions and cure poison potions.
In the Shadow Ruins are some statues called Athena Blockers and other creatures which give you when killed many experience. There you should reach level 18-20.

A great way to earn experience to build your character is to go to the Island of the Moonbeasts in the northern part of the elvenland.
Once there set the Occurance Rate in the Options Screen to MORE and the Moonbeasts will appear like crazy. Make sure you stay in the water and start plugging away at them with your bow. They will not enter the water.
They are worth a ton of points apiece, so if you spend 30 minutes or so, you can really rack up the points. Only go on land long enough to regenerate another batch of Moonbeasts.
By the time I left the Elvenland I was at level 24. That makes going through the Forbidden Land like a walk in the park.
I like to set the Occurance Rate to LOW when I just want to go from place to place. But when I have some extra time, I find a good defensible spot, Set the Rate to MORE and go on a killing rampage.

It's also possible to climb up onto the spikes or bridges round the alter. You look sill standing on thin air, but the beasts can't reach you and you can pick them off for as long as you like. Poison cloud can be useful to speed things up, also a decent bow helps. There's always a war bow in the chest south of the moon bridge in the Northlands, at lest there always is in v1.4. If your thieving skills are low, always remember you can use time crystals to help out.Chowder wrote:A great way to earn experience to build your character is to go to the Island of the Moonbeasts in the northern part of the elvenland.

there is a little pointy rock near a tree by the edge of the water on the west side of the island where you get out of the water i stand on it and wait on the moonbeasts to spawn on the mountian and run to me and i just blast nova them till they die and more spawn (i didnt bother picking up moonstones). btw i have 1071 blast novas with 22arcaine and 10 spellfire so i was there for a while!Chowder wrote:A great way to earn experience to build your character is to go to the Island of the Moonbeasts in the northern part of the elvenland.
