Spells and enchantment

Post by Kipi »

I'm currently playing with mage -character (self-created class), and I was wondering if there is a spell which disarms traps? It's quite frustrating to explore the world and dungeons when quite many doors and especially chests and boxes are trapped...

Also, is it possible to have an enchantment to a item which will restore you magic? I'm using few self-created spells which are very powerfull but takes huge ammounts of mana, and I'm kinda tired to rest every 2-3 casts...

As far as I know there is no disable trap spell. If you cast spell asorbtion or if you are an atronach sign then quite often the trap effects are absorbed and replenish your magicka without harming you.

There is no restore magicka spell. But if you collect comberries and buy frost salts and void salts from the alchemist in Balmora you can, combined with good alchemy equipment, good int and good alchemy skill, make powerful restore magicka potions that hardly weigh anything.

You cast telekinesis to activate them from a safe distance. Problem solved.
There is no restore magicka spell.
There is a glitch that if you cast Drain Intelligence on yourself (the amount varies depending on your intelligence) it autoamtically restores all of your magicka, but sometimes you lose a point of intelligence temporarily.

There was a mod that made regeneration. I came across it while I was looking a few weeks back, I can't remember how it worked though, it either gave 1/2/3pts a second depending on what you choose, or I think it gave 1/2/3% of your magicka per second. I think it was the latter, and as a bonus balancing effect, it gives that bonus to your enemies too.

I'll take a lookseye when I get a chance.

EDIT: Hereit is. Hope it works for you (and if you say you play Xbox...grrr!)
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

That would be nice, DJ :)

Do you remember where you saw it? or it's name? With these info I could also make a bit of searching myself...

There are at least 4 magicka regeneration mods out there, using different ways of configuring the return of magicka. You might want to do a description search in PES on regeneration. I think you'll be surprised with what you turn up. ;)

The guild supply chests of the mage guild has a lot of restore magicka potions. And they restock IIRC.

Yes, they restock, but not as often as I would need to... And I need dozens of potions when I just explore the Red Mountain region...

In addition to the Fair Magicka Regen that DJ linked to, there's a mod, Mana Recharge Enchantment, that adds a spell to the game that heals 19 magica for a cost of 20 magicka. As a spell it is useless but now that you have the effect you can enchant items to restore magicka. Personally I think the effect was put in a little weaker than it should so it allows you to create enchantments that are really powerful (especially if you make a CE effect). But if you want to use it, there it is.

Enter the following code into the console (Tribunal is required)

Code: Select all

player -> addspell relvel_regenerate
This adds a CE spell which gives you:

1-20pts restore magicka
1-3pts restore health
1-2pts restore fatigue
