i have a cool picture of me riding a fire drake, it keeps saying invalid file though. it was class, i was on the hill thinking all the drake were dead when i saw this one, it was on lower ground thn me. so i thouht i would run, jump and attk from above, to my suprise i landed on its back! when i shot my bow the drake went after my arrow! i got it flying over arindale until my game froze lol

Hi Mellez,

You presented the game with a situation that it can not reference because it was never programmed to handle. I think the trigger was Arindale because you are trying to bring your character in an area it belongs on the back of something that does not belong according to the logic and programming.

Cool idea though!! I am kind of curious as to why it would chase an arrow as it is not the enemy but if it works it simply gives you some control over the drakes flying.

I am a little surprised that you did not run into an exception error even earlier as you violated situational awareness as defined by the game.

I would like to see a computer game based on Anne McCaffrey's book "The White Dragon" as I always wanted to fly on a dragon. I would also like to see a movie done on the book. I think of her 'Dragonriders' trilogy it would be the most readily accepted as an introduction to her Pern trilogys. I have alot of nieces and nephews that would want me to take them to see it.

if u like books about dragonriders, u should really read "Eragon" and "Eldest" they are amazing books which i just finished reading.
i got a few screens of the draon riding on dL, dam i wish i can put them on the thread.

There is a thread for posting pics just like that and it is called: "Ok! Let's Have Fun With Our Screenshots". I started it just for that reason and the basic idea is to chose a pic and give it a title based on what is happening in the pic.

I would read post #4 as it was what I originally had in mind and then check out the accompanying .JPG file. Then check some of the other posts as there are some good ones. I think yours will probably be the best on the thread. I don't remember anyone else riding a drake.

Here's my latest guy, a paladin/sorceror/wizard. I wanted to see what you could do with high magic levels. Once I got enough spells, I hardly used melee. The stats and inventory shots are just before turning in the last relic, and I included a shot of the final battle as well.

well, i got my skillz up more. i am now lvl 52, with like 45mil xp or close to that. same probs again. i cant put the pics on. kel, if u can, would u mind changing these size's like u did with my other ones?

Here's my character right before the final battle. He's a fighter/rogue/marauder/hunter/deathlord. I switched helm's between the 2 pics. I usually wear the dragon helm, because i'm not penalized with it. Still the darkwing helm looks cool.

My helpless little elf!

Here is my Female Elf - Mage/Rogue/Sorceror/Enchantress/Wizard just before doing the Maze, then at the end.

She is wearing Assassin Garb and Assassin Shoulder Pads, Demon Scale Leggings, Mythnir Boots, Belt of the Fiend, Wizard Hat and carrying a Defender Shield, Elven Spirit Bow and Sceptre of the Shadows more as accessories as she didn't use any of these for ages!!!! :laugh:

From the maze on she just ran around casting Novas (Blast and Fire) and Cataclysm with the occasional Zap in a one on one situation where I didn't want to waste anything.

Didn't rest between setting out for the maze and the end and still had stacks of spells left. Cataclysm did a couple of 392 points of damage on Shaduroth per blast. I ended up killing him with just two casts.

The spiked moving gates in the maze did the most damage to me in that period!!!!

I would have liked to see what she would have looked like in a full Assassin set but apparently it doesn't exist. I never found some of the Mythnir set either, although I did have most parts of it. I thought this outfit was the coolest!

She is stocking up on spells because a girl just can't have enough of those! I used the "bug" of selling Cataclysm then buying back multiple copies. Wasn't it lucky that Mage Aleister had a photocopier (or a team of elves) behind those closed doors!!!!!

I deliberately kept my bargain skill low as that meant prices were high for selling stuff, so the difference in selling between the temple at Arindale and buying from the mage at Fargrove was enough to build up a hefty balance to enable me to buy so many spells. Also, for some reason, Alameister was selling the spells to me for less than I was buying them back for! Maybe my outfit had him confused!!!! :laugh:

I have a...(Lv80,HumanFemale, Warlord/Valkeryie/Imperial/Fighter/Adapt)...(Lv70,Urgoth, Crusader/Samurai/Paladin/Fighter/Adapt)...(Lv36,Zaur, Hatamoto/Samurai/Battlemage/Fighter/Mage)...(Lv30,Thrall, RangerLord/Samurai/Hunter/Fighter/Thief)...(Lv23,Female Elf, Wizard/Enchantress/Sorcerer/Thief/Mage)...(Lv8,Urgoth,Thief_I'm thinking making a Budoka/NinjaLord for the Eastern-House-Guild...but, I don't know what my sub-guild should be...maybe a Maruder...but, I really want to look like a ninja wearing Light Armor...I wish I could pick something like a monk...but, the game won't let me do that).

I also have a Lv24,Wyvlan,Thief/Fighter/Imperial/Hunter that I ended up scraping and going with the Thrall for a RangerLord. I did this cus the Thrall gets overall better Dexterity and Agility stats to be a great archer. But, I'm sad to say that it doesn't matter since when Dexterity gets around 100, the strike gets bugged and I can't hit stuff. I never questioned this heavily with my Lv80Warlord and my Lv70Urgoth from before. But, now I know how serious that damn bug is. It bothers the hell out me.

Here is one of my pics from my (Lv80,HumanFemale, Warlord/Valkeryie/Imperial/Fighter/Adapt). It's an older pic of an older save file of that character...as i really don't feel like firing up Dungeon Lords game to get more pics since you can't go between programs when DL game is playing.

in the game, just press "PrintScreen" (a key on your keyboard)
save the game, and exit.

open microsoft paint, press Ctrl+V and save file as JPG mode.

These are screenshots from my 1.5 Wylvan Rogue/Fighter/Trickster/Samurai/Hatamoto. He died four times altogether but I always loaded the game when it happened, it was:
- my first encounter with the Mystery Woman went badly because she and the thieves hit me a couple of times and I died. I simply didn't know what to expect of her.
- Once a fire drake roasted me because my ward of fire crystal was out and my guy forgot to drink although I had pressed the button.
- In the cellar of Davenmor manor, it was too narrow to dodge the gangrenous wyrm's poisonous gas and the barrowgrim soldiers blocked my escape.
- The gas chamber in the Naga temple also killed me once.
You can see that I'm wearing a Helm of Lords that gives me a penalty of 16 because Hatamoto doesn't give heavy armor skill. Why am I wearing it? Simple - together with my other items it gets my Pro Petrify up to 100% so I cannot be stunned. I started using that helm right before entering the Naga Temple and stuck with it all the way to the end. Also, since putting it on there were only two things I did to defeat my enemies: swinging my weapons (dual-wield with a Kama of the Moon and a Totemic Runemace, the chests and monsters never provided any better medium weapons throughout the entire game), casting Boon Blades, and one single time I had to resort to using Zap because there was no other way to kill a certain shadow wraith high up on a ledge in the Shadow Ruins. I never used any other spell on the monsters.

You'll also notice that I got my Agility stat up very high. It costs 10 million points to raise it to 160 now. However, the penalty is applied AFTER the speed has been capped to 302, making points in Agility total garbage. I raised it anyway to get my parry stat up.

Also, something seems to be wrong with the Fiend of Ghazbu(ul). I've read numerous reports on how hard he is in 1.5 but I totally OWNED him with my dual weapons, stunning him hard and beating the **** out of him. I'm not sure he does even stack up to Voraatus now! My weapons kept the Fiend of Ghazbuul mainly stunned, and even on the rare occasion he managed to fire off something, he only used Inferno and Nether Blast. Where's the "ungodly strong magic attack" he's supposed to use if the walkthrough is right? No, I mean it, Voraatus was really harder for me because it's not as easy to stun him, and even in 1.4 the Fiend gave me tougher fights many times!

just thought i would share my monk/wizard that doesnt even have cataclysm yet as i just beat naga (hate that damn jump over the trap doors).
