The Ensuing Establishment

Post by dj_venom »

Well, with the news of thread limits, it seems the Stronghold has been breached and the defenders have fallen. So now, the refugees have been forced to flee, and this establishment has opened its doors. It was lucky it was nearby, or else they might not have made it, and instead found some other place, which didn't have the aliteration I so enjoy.

So, in this new era of spam, enjoy!

And I'd say it's got a bit of the old, a bit of the new... but I have no idea what a bit of the Stronghold would be... short of maybe a few crossbows or something.

Do what you want, we've got 1499 posts to go. ;)

No one, that's why I was suggesting he bring more, otherwise he'd go thirsty. :)

Untrue, I got that, err, had that. They ID until you look at least 30 or 40 years old at first glance at most places I go too. Basically, if you don't have wrinkles or grey hair in NY, you get ID'd.

LoL That statement just made me feel ancient, Mag. I haven't been carded in months. Months! Granted, I've been to a few places that the staff know me so it's not a big deal, but I've been to several new places, too, and no one carded me. I can't look 40.

Here you just need to be overly confident and if there's a new bartender you just need to say "the usual". ;)

HMPH!!

Here ones (especially girls) can get to the bars without ID'd even if they look very clearly underaged...
Have been seen many times when a group of girls, clearly underaged (learned later that they really were) got in the bar, without showing their IDs...

You live down in Florida I think, right? If so, man...the laws are different there. They don't sell liqour and wine anywhere besides actual wine and spirits stores, which operate between 9 am to 9 pm here only. For a mostly democratic state, the politicians really screw with my drinking like tyrants here. And, there's a LOT of problems with people trying to use fake ID's and stuff here because of it. So, they just made a rule that unless the person looks to be old enough without a doubt, I.E. wrinkles or grey hair, you get I.D.'d. My mom loves that she still gets I.D'd.

@ Kipi. Oh, at bars, girls get in regardless if they are pretty. I was out thursday and this 19 year old my brother new was there drinking. He shouted "how did YOU get in here!" and she just grinned and wiggled.

Not here. My friend Lucy is 22 and she gets carded, and she looks real young. She was even accused once in my presence of having a fake ID because it didn't look like her (the cop clearly had a vision deficiency, cuz it really does look like her). But our friend with us who was actually 20 and she also got carded, but then she was using her sister's ID. She says it's because the two of them look alike and she used her sister's ID a lot. Well, until it was confiscated, 'course.

Yup yup, Florida. America's shriveled up lil impotent wang. And of course your mom loves getting ID'd; all women like that sort of play to their youthful looks.

 People are crazy, I swear. You spend your entire childhood wanting to grow up, and when you're an adult, you want to be young again. I skipped the first part; I never in my life wanted to be an adult, since I had the forethought to realize whatall came with that. But it's not like I could stop it from happening anyway. :( And honestly, being able to drink legally doesn't make up for it.

*Can be seen waving trucks into warehouse*

Hook one of the kegs up to the bar, I like my Guinness on tap. Carry the rest into the basement... It's ok, there should be plenty of room with downsizing we had to do to the spam generators.
