some randon game questions

Post by Bagatur »

hey people,

i just started playing the game and i have a few questions:
1. weapons have two types of damage, lethal and bashing. what's the difference? which one is better against which monsters?
2. how do i make my characters use stop using disciplines? if i uncheck "use from quick panel only" in game control settings, they will use whatever they have, right? if i check it, they will use only what i put in the quick panel, right? but i put only feed and blood heal there and they still use other disciplines. they are just wasting precious blood!
3. how helpfull are disciplines? should i really concenrate on inteligence, wits and perception, or should i boost strength, dexterity and stamina only? is it worth it?
do all chars get all discipline groups eventually? or they are limited in this aspect?
thanx :)

It depends some monsters are more suceptable to Bashing like a Stone Golems.
Lethal is more slicing so Fleshy characters are hurt easily by this.
Last Agravated would be like Fire, Acid and Poison (?) with does burning types of damges works best against Vampires.

Well if I recall, I found it best to Turn Off, using Disciplines then I just hit the pause key and issue any orders whether it's Melee or Disciplines each round made it much easier for me.
This is an older game and the AI is one of the weakness of the age, so keeping as much control in your hands maybe best, it was for me.

Well to me the Game is much easier if you have at least your the Character you like to use most often have Strength and Feed, that way Blood is always handy.
This character can move slowly forward and lure one or two monsters back to the other member as everyone attacks or this character can Lure monsters to Feed on then let the other member Feed from him/her so they don't need high Strength and Feed.
In this game depending on where and when you are Melee weapons are the next best after Feeding.

There are some books in the game which teach you Disciplines I always used them first on the Main Character that way if the story takes a shift I still have those Disciplines.
There is one book that is very valueable well really two based on oppisite elements. :)
Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.
