Running Oblivion on a Mac

Post by Maximus38 »

Apparently the next Mac operating system, Leopard, has a facility called Boot camp where you can choose to set up Windows XP as your operating system. Has anyone tried the public beta, and seen if Oblivion works on it?
I'm curious because the next computer I want to buy is an iMac, but Oblivion is dear to my heart and I'd hate to give it up..........

No clue. You could try searching Apple's site or Googling for a compatability list. But if I were an Apple engineer, the two things I would say absolutely MUST run under XP on a Mac would be MS Word and Oblivion, not neccessarily in that order :)
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

PC Gamer had an article on this.

You'll need
Mac OS 10.4.6 update,
A single Disc copy of Windows XP Home or Proffessional with service Pack 2 (You can use a thirty day trial)

Thanks guys. I have checked out Apple websites, and apparently it is possible. Whether Oblivion will run properly on a measly 512Mb of RAM that you get with a new iMac is another matter entirely......
I'd love to see that PC Gamer article, maybe I'll check on their website.
