please help (SPOILER)

Ok, I'm on the quest where I have to see Mehra Milo about the lost prophecies, but I can't get into her room. The guide said that Caius should have given me some items, but I never got them. What should I do?

Just pick the lock/use a spell to open the lock. Thats how I always get in her room.

Please don't put up threads like this without SPOILER tags, per the sticky thread at the top of the forum. I'll fix this one, but you're on your own with others. Or they may mysteriously vanish. ;)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

ok, now i probably sound like an idiot, but how do you pick the lock? I have a lockpick and a probe, but when i equip them and hit the right trigger at the door, nothing happens.

You just stand next to the locked door or chest, equip the lockpick like a weapon, press F (or whatever key draws your weapon) and left click on the door (or whatever key you have for attack) and it should try to pick. Keep doing this until it manages to pick the lock. If it says the lock is too complex then you need to either increase your intelligence through potions or use a better quality lock pick, or both. Alternatively, use a scroll of ondusi's unhinging or a lock opening spell.

Probes are for disabling traps and are used in the same way.
