Praying to fame(possible spoiler)

Post by tristan0606 »

Sorry in advance if this has been asked. While i was doing the thieves guild mission, i fought a vampire which gave me a disease(the one where i turn into a vampire), so to avoid becoming one im not sleeping, but i need to pray at the altar. Does anyone know how high my fame has to be before i can successfully pray, and also, my stats are red(meaning lower then normal), how do i tell if i have a disease or not. Thanx

No set number, fame just needs to be higher than infamy. On the magic menu, the tab furthest to the right shows all active magic effects (beneficial and harmful, including diseases).
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

If you have contracted the vampire disease, it will be at the top of the magic effects screen that Belthan described. But if you are a full-blown vampire, you will see the disease as well as the weakness to fire effect, Vampirism, and a bunch of bonuses to your attributes. But if you dont see any of that, then you have nothing to worry about. As far as your luck being red and no explanation for it on the magic effects screen, that means your luck was damaged in combat by a creature or human that you battled. Whenever this happens, you will see at the top left of your screen, 'Your (attribute) has been damaged." In thise case, you need to pray at any alter to restore the attribute. If your attributes are severly damaged, then you may need to vist more than one alter to fully restore them all. Hope that all makes sense :)
