@Chim: Let's discuss that more another time, but in general I can say that I was not at all sarcastic - I am actually never sarcastic although it may appear so because of my dry posting style - I just believe that the happier and more satisfied people are, and the more meaningful lives they perceive they are having, the less will their tendency to get into a state of negative emotions and destructive response patterns be.

At our island, I would peacefully climb the palm trees for cocoanuts for all of as, and then spend the evenings around the campfire discussing Mann, the basis for consciousness or the original of life on earth with you and Wave.

Now I must sleep! Goodnight, islanders :D

Great to see a breath of fresh air has blown in, removing all previous jokes, destroying cliques and creating jokes that all can get.

Enough with the "policy" poking and bringing forth of percived underlying motives you think there is.
It is getting old and childish, so keep that ruckus off the public board as requested by Buck, and if you have problems with people - either report it or take it to the PMs.

It's summer. That's why.
It's always in the summer we have all the excitement ended up with banning and goodbye posts. Seen the same words and arguments before many times.
If I were Buck, I'll close GameBanshee during July and August for summer holiday, just like schools, with notice on the frontpage: "We will be back in September". But I guess that's not an option.

I think GameBanshee should be sent to a nice nude beach, where it can sun itself without thought for tan lines. Then it can drink tequilla and dance until dawn, strolling alongside Buck as it walks across the ancient white sands. :)

Hm. Discussions of Mann, Kant, maybe Kierkegaard, Engels... One wonders why the intellectuals of the world haven't all decided one day to just uproot themselves from their imperfect countries and come together to create their own intellectual utopia.

Considering the stereotype of the average gamer... well, I'll just have to not wear contacts, I suppose. And maybe wear glasses that are painted over so I can't see a thing. Although I suppose that's the point of the tequilla, you increasinly-attractive person you.

Edit: Is it just me or does Xandax have two accounts? Because I see him posting in one thread and having one sig, and then in this thread when he's being the "Moderator" he has another. Anyway, the reason I bring that up... lol you didn't really have to change the sig with the "To"s; I was just being a nitpicker. Thanks, though; you made my morning. :D lol

That's why I love GB...
In the middle of discussions of sending GB on summer holiday, and wandering down sandy beaches with a Tequila Sunrise in one's hand, someone drags in existentialist philosophers.

Hi, everyone, been gone for a while. I can see things have not been quiet during my year of absence.
Just wanted to check in and make sure you were all doing good. Are you? :)

PS: I do not want to start a discussion about certain rules and regulations, as I do not know enough about them and do not consider this (or anywhere else) the right venue

Hi Mist. Good to see you again and welcome back (even if it is for just a short visit as is custom to many posters :D )

Hi!

Life drags on, Xan, and not everyone can spend their entire schedule catching up on Fable's post count. :p
But I don't know how long I'll be here for, depends on the traffic I guess.

(Which has, BTW, increased dramatically  )

Anyone seen a disturbed Weasel running around somewhere?

I can't remember when we lost track of the rodent, but I'm sure somebody has seen him. We still occasionally get other old poster dropping in, on a curtesy visit.

And yeah - traffic has increased to the forum, but Buck has also started to cover many many games now. The site has really grown in content it is not only Baldur's Gate anymore :D . He does much work on the site. (oh - and I've not even looked at fable's postcount - that'd be meaningless for us normal folk :D ).

Yup, I noticed it took me 30 seconds to scroll to SYM, passing games I've never even heard of on the way. :o
But good ol' BG still gets a lot of attention on the boards I can see.

Guess I need to get into gaming again, I seem to spend countless hours just floating around the net, seeing more or less disturbing things as one do on the internet.
I could spend that time way better for example collecting +1 swords in IWD. :D
