spoilers ahead........
I have a problem with the last quest............. I cleared out the dungeon including umar, and her familiar. I go back out, and the spirit that gave me the quest is gone robbing me of the exp, and preventing me from finishing the quest. I've searched for the spirit all over the map and near my cabin both day and night, I've also tried to report sucsess to the mayor, who keeps telling me to hurry up because they're all doomed ect. very annoying please help asap

Due to the lack of response it would appear we are all stumped. Maybe your only option is to reload and try again. I had a similar situation with the nobles destroying the forest quest. I gave the guy his necklace and told him to get out of town. When I returned to my cabin, no spirit! I went inside, rested and when I emerged she was there. She thanked me profusely but gave me no XP
I reloaded played through again, this time killing his party and keeping the necklace, returned to her and was awarded all the XP...go figure. On the last Quest (the one your on) I got the XP but no moondog figurine It was my first game so I was still getting my head around the rules. I sincerely hope that what I discovered next isn't what has happened to you. I checked out my profile and to my horror I had somehow become a Fallen Ranger!!! I never figured out how or when it happened, all I can put it down to is having Viconia join my party too early in the game. With no obvious solution in sight, I basically wiped my entire game and started again. You might also want to make sure youve got the latest patch installed and that no mods are bugging your game

I re-searched the entire temple and I found the bloody spirit where the shadow dragon stood. (It said it would wait outside by the entrance ??) I had already searched that area before and the spirit was not there . Ranger stronghold sucks but the reward (cerebus) was quite nice. Moondog holw owns liches. unfortunetly my saves were destroyed by a nasty virus just as I was about to set sail for Brynnlaw, I will now be trying a blade wish me luck
