dm_spawnitem does not function

dm_spawnitem does not function

Keeping mind that it is not cheating, but rather customizing ... any ideas as to why dm_spawnitem command does not function?

Debugmode 1 is set and functions otherwise rather well....

any takers?

What exactly does not work? When I use the spawnitem command, after I hit Enter to generate the item, I need to move my cursor onto a free space in the game itself ( the floor near my character, generally ) and click there once for the item to actually appear.

Ok this is what happens in single player campaign.

other Debugmode functions operate normally. after typing dm_spawnitem [item code] then Enter, message states that dm_spawnitem not found.

building a mystery .........

Hmm - that is wierd.
I did however experience back in "my days (: D - I'm not that old, but haven't played NwN for a long time)" that when I used the console, I occasional ran into a console prompt which weren't the actual console prompt.
I suspect it was because I used danish keyboard to access the console.

I found that the keys I had to push to get into the console was ´ + ` in sequence. Occasional I could however see the command prompt just by typeing either ´or ` - but at times it wouldn't accept my commands as valid when I did.
Could it be something similar which plays into your experience?

What happens if you try to access to command via the "talk"-text box (by prefixing it with ##)

ive got a similar problem almost the exact same
i have debug mode 1 on and evrything and i try to spawn an item it says succes but it no show but only with two items ive seen otherwise everything else works when i spawn it

A problem could be that you try to spawn in items which doesn't "exists" in the specific module. I belive that caused issues back when I played.
