She gives the passong wench a nod over and orders a jug of lager, nipple cold, and a straw.

Settling back after her first pull, she watches the hot potch of clientel from underneath her dark hood. Her eyes naturally skim over pockets and expensive armour.
lol Tanita, good to see you here! :D
Are you suggesting we had best all keep a close eye on our possesions?

@DW: The conference actually made up for it - I got the best suggestion from a male I've ever heard :D (a new collaboration, of course)

*inspects Xandax' butt*

Well, if you have nothing better to do, I why don't you do a little strip dance for me?

* A desicated old man in a ragged sack cloth robe enters. He looks like he's a first timer, though the worn in ash look indicates a history of previous sinning or questionable personal hygene, possibly both. He nudges someone's half finished booze and looks dissappointed that it doesn't exploded, or make him think vividly lewd thoughts. He then notices the male stripper, and appears to brighten somewhat. Here is exactly the sort of depravity that he can look down his nose at and loudly denounce. He notices the bold writing on the business licence "Anything goes, just keep it clean", looks around and then starts enthusiastically cleaning the strippers chromed poles. Notices several eyes staring and nervously feels like some response is required. *

Erm....wouldn't that be a little inappropriate? I was under the impression that this is a bar, not a strip club.

Good one. :) On that note, maybe you should include a karaoke section as well for those who want to sing to their heart's content? Might attract more customers too. :D

I don't know what it is, but so many of my threads seem to end up on the slippery slope to the gutter within just a few pages. I just don't understand...
And, honestly... I had *nothing* to do with the strippers...

@Des,
I don't know why exactly...but the thought of karaoke scares me even more than the thought of Danish strippers :speech:

It wouldn't be due to the fact that your mind is only a fraction of a thought away from the gutter at all times, now would it? :D

Stop reminding me of the fact that I have a mountain of domestics to attend to myself *sigh* :D

Surely you jest...

My mind isn't *always* half a step away from the gutter. Sometimes it is actually quite pristine, it's just that the company I keep always manages to push me over the edge :p :D

Cold or no, that litter had better be changed, and soon. As a former cat owner, I am only too familiar with how they make their displeasure known when you, their servant, fail them in such an important area.

Agreed. I never really liked karaoke either. Just a silly idea on my part. Its embarrassing and humiliating to begin with. Never done it before but I'm not going to do so anyway and not even in my lifetime. *points Thompson right at the karaoke machine*

Once while in Japan my SO and I were dragged to a Karaoke bar... It was.. um.. "interesting."

Beyond the fact that Karaoke is disturbing, I'm just concerned about what some of the people around here could end up "singing." I mean..knowing certain posters... it could be anything from Weird Al Yankovic to "Twinkle, twinkle little Star..." :speech: :p

@Chan, indeed. I recall mention of a laundry basket and said feline making its displeasure most...visible. :D

*....wanders off to attend to litter*

Oh well, with that kind of encouragement..

The Mystic Thief watches from the corner of her eye a man in ragged robes stumble into the bar. She goes deeper under her hood as she thinks she recalls 'borrowing' his money bag and expensive shoes earlier that week.

She is amused as he begins what seems like polishing on the iron legs of the bar stools. His wild-eyed stare is lewd and she wonders if he thinks he's entered a strip club. The Gull's Roost has always been a place for the ragged and the loners, for deals, bartering and whispers in dark corners - he'll be disappointed, she muses.

'Twinkle, twinkle little star'?! Err.....a kiddie song? My self-esteem would have hit rock bottom if I sing that right in front of my friends. Anyway, it is less embarrasing to do it in front of your friends rather than in front of everybody in a bar. That would be total humiliation to me.
